Sandy Hamby Named Chair of the National Academy of Construction

Sandy Hamby NAC ChairMOCA Systems, Inc. (MSI) is proud to announce that President and CEO Sandy Hamby has been named Chair of the National Academy of Construction (NAC). Sandy was appointed Chair during the NAC 2026 Annual Meeting, held September 25–27 in Nashville, Tennessee.

After receiving the chair gavel, Sandy asked fellow members to commit to one action over the next 12 months to advance the NAC’s mission to “Transform the Industry to Build a Better Nation.” Her call to action reflects the NAC’s focus on bringing industry leaders together to share knowledge, address challenges, and support the next generation of construction professionals.

A NAC member since 2021, Sandy was elected for her leadership in program and construction management, expertise in architecture, program integration, and information and communication management, and advocacy for women in construction.

Sandy brings more than 30 years of construction management experience spanning planning and programming, design management, program integration, construction management, and project controls. Prior to MSI, she worked as a civilian architect and construction manager with the U.S. Air Force and held roles with 3D/I, Carter Burgess, and Jacobs.

Her appointment follows NAC’s 2025 Recognition of Special Achievement Award for the Wyoming Capitol Square Project. MSI collaborated with the Governor of Wyoming, the Capitol Square Oversight Group, JE Dunn Construction, and HDR, Inc. to re-plan and realign the project, contributing to the innovative and collaborative approach recognized by NAC.

Sandy earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, a Certified Construction Manager (CCM), and a Fellow of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) College of Fellows. She has also served as Vice Chair of the CMAA Board of Directors.

MSI congratulates Sandy on her appointment and this recognition of her continued leadership in the construction industry.
