Dover Air Force Base Dormitory

in

Dover Air Force Base is the active duty military host for the 436th Airlift Wing, consisting of over 4,000 active-duty military and civilian employees. To support the airlift mission of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at Dover AFB, the US Air Force invested hundreds of millions of dollars in new hangars, infrastructure, aviation facilities, and housing. The base construction program included a new $15 million dormitory that includes 144 rooms in 36 quads with a CMU bearing structure, brick veneer, and metal railing balconies.

The Air Force Center of Engineering and Environment (AFCEE) hired MOCA Systems to provide professional services for multiple projects at Dover AFB including the FY06 Dormitory to help manage the risks, costs and schedules throughout the capital program lifecycles. MOCA Systems provided a consistent project control service throughout the 4 year period to validate the program, manage the design development, provide value engineering, and oversee construction. The program is on-time and within budget.
